AIOrders was built in Vancouver, BC, and serves restaurants in Canada and the USA. It gives you a commission-free online ordering system on your own website, Google profile and table QR codes, plus the marketing that brings guests back. Flat-monthly plan with 0% order fees; entry plan adds a per-order fee (see pricing). Here's how it fits the Canadian market, and how it compares with the delivery apps you're probably paying today.
These are the published restaurant fees from each company's own Canadian pricing page, as of Oct 2026:

BC is the only province with a permanent cap. Under the Food Delivery Service Fee Act, in force since January 1, 2023, delivery platforms serving 500 or more restaurants can't charge more than 20% of an order's value (before tax and tip) for core ordering and delivery services. They can charge more for optional "enhanced" services you agree to, and you must be able to cancel those and return to the 20% tier (Government of BC).
Outside BC there's no permanent provincial cap. Either way, 20% of every order is still a lot of margin. Commission-free direct ordering is how you keep it.
AIOrders' partner list is mostly independent restaurants in British Columbia, with some in Ontario: Chef's Kebab, Vancouver Pizza Heaven, Mr India, Doon Spice, Haveli Indian Bistro, Pho 68 Surrey, Taste of Lahore, Tasty Planet Burnaby, Manohar Bakery Kelowna, Tandoori Boys Mississauga and many more (case studies).
Say you do $20,000 a month through delivery apps at a 25% commission. That's $5,000 a month in commission. If you move even a third of those orders ($6,667) to direct ordering, you avoid about $1,667 a month in commission. Compare that with AIOrders' flat monthly fee (see pricing), before counting new customers from Google and repeat orders from loyalty.

If you're comparing restaurant POS systems in Canada, some include online ordering as an add-on. Toast Canada's POS plans start at CA$120/month (Starter) and CA$220/month (Essentials); online ordering isn't listed in those plan tiers, so ask Toast for a quote. Square Canada has a $0/month Free plan plus transaction rates, and Plus from $35/month (sources: Toast Canada, Square Canada, as of Oct 2026).
Who a POS is better for: if you need a new in-store POS and terminals anyway, a POS bundle can make sense. AIOrders isn't a POS. It sits on top of the one you have, and Order Hub syncs with POS systems such as Square, Clover and Toast. Choose AIOrders when your goal is more direct orders, more reviews and more repeat guests. See the full best online ordering systems roundup, or compare directly: Toast alternative, Square Online alternative, TouchBistro alternative and SkipTheDishes alternative.

SkipTheDishes doesn't publish a commission rate card. Rates are set by agreement, so check your partner contract or payout statements.
