If you are trying to find SkipTheDishes' commission rate online, you have probably noticed that Skip does not publish one. Uber Eats and DoorDash post their plan percentages; Skip sets rates in each restaurant's partner agreement. This guide explains what we could verify from Skip's own pages, what the BC fee cap means, how Skip compares with the published Uber Eats and DoorDash rates in Canada, and how to work out your own number.
From Skip's partner site (partner.skipthedishes.com, as of Oct 2026):
What we could not verify: the Marketplace commission percentage, any tablet fee, and SkipGo's per-delivery amount. These vary; see their partner page or your agreement. We deliberately did not repeat third-party estimates that we could not confirm with Skip.
In British Columbia, the Food Delivery Service Fee Act limits fees for core ordering and delivery services to no more than 20% of the order value, excluding tax and tip, for platforms serving 500+ restaurants. Platforms may charge more only for optional enhanced services that you agree to and can cancel (Government of BC, as of Oct 2026).
In practice, if your restaurant is in BC and you are paying Skip, Uber Eats or DoorDash more than 20% for core ordering and delivery, you should have agreed to optional enhanced services, and you must be able to cancel them and return to the 20% cap. The BC government accepts complaints at the email listed on its page.
| Platform | Delivery commission | Pickup | Own-delivery option | Rates published? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SkipTheDishes | Varies, see their partner page | Varies, see their partner page | SkipGo: flat fee per order (amount not published) | No |
| Uber Eats Canada | 20% / 25% / 30% (Lite / Plus / Premium) | 10% (15% without validated pricing) | Self-delivery 15% | Yes |
| DoorDash Canada | 20% / 25% / 29% (Basic / Plus / Premier) | 10% Basic; 8% Plus and Premier | DoorDash Drive $6.99–$10.99 per delivery | Yes |
| BC cap (all three) | Core services max 20% | Core services max 20% | — | Government of BC |
Because Skip does not publish rates, the fairest comparison is your own Skip agreement against Uber Eats and DoorDash's published Canadian plans.
Since rates are private, here is what a range of possible rates would cost on $10,000/month of Skip orders. These are illustrations, not Skip's rates:
Compare that with a flat-monthly plan with 0% order fees (see pricing; the entry plan adds a per-order fee) for orders you move to your own ordering page. Use the calculator with your real numbers.
The AIOrders model is simple: a flat-monthly plan with 0% order fees (see pricing; the entry plan adds a per-order fee), instead of a percentage of each order (aiorders.io, as of Oct 2026). On that plan you keep every dollar of every direct order, minus payment processing.
Every restaurant's mix is different. Plug your monthly delivery-app sales into the free AIOrders savings calculator to see what commissions cost you and what a flat fee would save. Next step: plug your monthly delivery sales into the calculator and compare the result with a flat monthly fee (see pricing).
Skip does not publish a commission rate on its partner site. Your rate is set in your partner agreement (Skip, as of Oct 2026). In BC, core delivery-platform fees cannot exceed 20% of the order value unless you agree to enhanced services.
No. Skip's blog says SkipGo has no commission structure and no subscription fee; you pay a flat fee per order (Skip, as of Oct 2026).
DoorDash publishes 20%, 25% and 29% delivery plans in Canada (DoorDash Canada, as of Oct 2026). Compare those with your Skip agreement.
Uber Eats Canada lists 20%, 25% and 30% delivery fees and 10% pickup (Uber Eats Canada, as of Oct 2026); DoorDash lists 20%, 25% and 29% delivery with 8–10% pickup.
The platform charges a flat fee rather than a percentage of each order. AIOrders offers a flat-monthly plan with 0% order fees (see pricing; the entry plan adds a per-order fee).
