GloriaFood Alternative for Independent Restaurants (2026)

GloriaFood is closing. The vendor's own homepage now says: "GloriaFood will reach end of life on April 30, 2027. We remain committed to supporting existing customers through this date." (gloriafood.com, checked Oct 6, 2026). If your website button, QR codes or Facebook "Order" link run on GloriaFood, you need a new online ordering system before that date.

Short verdict: If you want more than an ordering widget, meaning commission-free orders plus a website, Google reviews, loyalty and repeat-customer marketing handled for you, AIOrders is a strong GloriaFood alternative, with a flat-monthly plan that has no per-order commission (see pricing). If you only need a free ordering button and very little else, a free option such as Square's Free plan may be the cheaper fit. Both are covered below, honestly.

What is happening to GloriaFood?

Oracle bought GloriaFood in 2021. The service update on gloriafood.com now gives three facts every owner should know:

The notice does not say what happens to your data after shutdown. Save anything you want to keep, such as your menu, customer list and sales reports, while your admin panel still works.

What to look for in a GloriaFood replacement

GloriaFood was popular because the core ordering widget was free and commission-free. When you compare replacements, check these six things:

  1. Commission. Does the platform take a percentage of each order? Some "free" tools charge a per-order fee instead of a monthly fee.
  2. Monthly cost. A flat fee is easier to plan around than a percentage that grows with your sales.
  3. Menu migration. How long will it take to rebuild your menu, modifiers and prices?
  4. Channels. Website ordering, QR table ordering, Google, Facebook and Instagram links.
  5. Delivery. Can you deliver with your own drivers, or use on-demand couriers without paying marketplace commission?
  6. Getting customers back. GloriaFood's email marketing and branded app were paid add-ons. Decide whether you want reviews, loyalty and win-back campaigns included.

How to switch from GloriaFood to AIOrders

You don't have to wait until 2027. Moving early means your regulars never hit a broken "Order" button.

  1. Import your menu. Use the free Menu Import tool. Drop in a PDF, photos of your printed menu, your website link, or your Uber Eats or DoorDash link. The AI returns categories, dishes, descriptions and prices. Nothing is published until you review it.
  2. Set up ordering and payments. Turn on pickup, delivery (your own drivers or Uber Direct) and QR table ordering.
  3. Swap your links. Replace the GloriaFood button on your website, your Google Business Profile "Order online" link, and your Facebook and Instagram links.
  4. Reprint QR codes. Old GloriaFood table codes will stop working at shutdown.
  5. Tell your regulars. Use your saved customer list to announce the new ordering page.

The full checklist is on our switch from GloriaFood page.
