Create your Clover API token

  1. Log into your Clover web dashboard and click the settings gear at the top right, then View all settings.
  2. Under Business operations, click API tokens, then Create new token.
  3. Name it, for example "AIOrders". Under permissions, allow Orders with both read and write access, then save.
  4. Click Copy to copy the private token. Never share it with anyone you don't trust.

Find your merchant ID

The quickest place is your browser's address bar: the merchant ID is the 13-character code in the middle of the web address. You can also find it in Settings, under About your business, then Merchants, listed under your business name.

Don't use the 12-digit MID number. AIOrders needs the 13-character merchant ID.

Connect Clover in AIOrders

  1. In the AIOrders dashboard, click Administration and open the Integrations tab.
  2. On the Clover card, paste your merchant ID and set the region. For Canada and the US, choose North America.
  3. Paste your API token. It's stored encrypted, and afterwards you only see its last four characters.
  4. Make sure Send new online orders to Clover is on, then click Save Clover settings.

The card now shows Connected. To pause without removing your credentials, switch the toggle off. Disconnect removes the connection.
